Finally, an interesting version of Don't Sleep In the Subway from Percy Faith, while it's certainly nicer weather, I don't think March in Minnesota is quite suitable for subway sleeping anyway. Enjoy!

Some interesting organ action from Andy Bautista, choral jazz from Johnny Mann with "Paper Doll", we'll have a little fun with Jerry Fielding and "Spanish Flea".
An oh-so mellow "Live For Life" from Percy Faith, be careful with this one, you'll be liable to melt in your chair, another mellow tune from Buddy Bergman, "Melodyville"
Finally, The Alan Copeland Singers with "Baroque A Nova", not really a good way to describe this, Beach Boys meet Enoch Light meet Bach? sounds like the sort of thing that could easily have been played in a 70's era office building, I quite like it.

Some more holiday tracks, including Enoch Light
Well, it's snowing.. and snowing.. and snowing.. and snowing! up here in Minnesota, good weather to stay inside, it seems so pointless to shovel when it'll be covered up in 2 hours anyway.
A note to the people using stream rippers: I admire your effort and I am honored, however, I can't officially condone the practice, I ask that if you're going to do it, at least use a stream ripper that ties up only one connection and hides itself from us a little better.
The problem is that some rippers use extra connections, this wastes bandwidth on both sides, costing everyone money.
Personally, I don't have a problem with someone ripping into hour long mp3 files for later play on their iPod or something, I wish the law allowed us to deliver podcasts, lifting individual tracks is silly though, the quality just isn't the same as napster or amazon. Internet radio is simply not an mp3 delivery service.
Anyhow, on with todays tracks!
You may have noticed we squeezed the Theme from MASH in yesterday, this was a simple oversight, it's an awesome version done by Enoch Light, I can't believe I forgot to mention it!
Also Anita Kerr, Kay Starr, Billy May and some more from Percy Faith. Hope your holiday season went well! (and that you don't have too many decorations to take down..)
New Tracks
- Enoch Light - Theme from MASH
- Johnny Mann/Simon Zenther - It's a Lonesome Old Town
- Kay Starr - I Love Paris
- Anita Kerr - Strangers In The Night
- Percy Faith - Sunny

Serge Gainsbourg & Syd Dale
We're coming up on the shortest day of the year, the Minnesota sky is turning dark a lot earlier now, good news, more night time is always a good thing! (Just wish it happened in the summer, so we could go out and enjoy it more)
More from Billy May, with "Perdido", a nice big-band retro sound.
The Headliners do an interesting version of Barry Manilow's "I Write the Songs" and on the mellow track is some more from the Syd Dale Orchestra with "Reminiscing" a track that you'll recognize almost instantly if you listened to AM radio in the 70's.
A couple tracks from Serge Gainsbourg, "Ce Mortel Ennui" and "L'alcool", if you can't speak French, well, you're in good company, neither can I! (and if you can speak French and hear something that isn't "work safe".. please tell me)

We'd like to know what you think of 56k streams -vs- 128k or 64k, do you listen in an environment where bandwidth is expensive? When I listen to 128k streams, it sounds nicer but there are more network problems. We're considering moving to either 64k or 128k, it should sound slightly better but it could create network hassles. We'd like to know your opinions.
New Tracks
- Billy May & His Orchestra - I Believe In You
- Terry Gibbs - Joshua
- Quincy Jones - Cain's Hundreds
- Astrud Gilberto & Walter Wanderley - Call Me
